Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse

It's been 3 weeks since I've posted. June has been crazy busy. I've spent 4 days/ nights at church having Youth Week, 8 days in NYC/ DC with the senior high, and 5 days helping with VBS at church. That leads us up to now, and I leave again for 6 days on Sunday for the Junior High mission trip. Whew. I'm so tired and ready to get back to "normal"... whatever that is!

I have not posted anything lately, obviously, but I have been reading the blogs listed as my favorites! I can do that without thinking! :) I don't have time to think much lately, but I do have time to veg out and read about one of my favorite things- DISNEY!

During the few days I've been home this month, we have found a new favorite for C-man! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! We love the hot dog dance and he LOVES Mickey Mouse! He has a book with a small Mickey stuffed animal on the front and he loves walking around with it! When I ask him where Mickey is, he points to the book. I thought it was time to really test him, so I opened up one of my Birnbaum books to a page that had many different characters on it. I asked where Mickey Mouse was and he pointed to him correctly!! C could even pick him out on a page where he was wearing a football uniform! The only mistake C-man's made is thinking Minnie Mouse is Mickey! But, that's understandable for a 17 month old! :)

This new "trick" makes me excited about our trip to the world in December! I hope he won't be scared to actually meet Mickey Mouse! :)

my favorite web sites

Several people have asked me recently what my favorite Disney web sites are for planning a trip to WDW. So, here they are in no particular order:

1. The Official Walt Disney World Web Site- duh. I use this web site to make reservations- hotel, dining, tickets, etc. I've always gone directly through WDW to make my reservations and buy my packages. I've heard that if you make your reservations and then a special or a discount is available, they will adjust your reservations. I don't know if that can happen if you make reservations outside of WDW. That's the main reason I use WDW. Sometimes I have found cheaper tickets at other places, but the difference is only dollars, so I'll stick with WDW!

2. All Ears- This is my very favorite! I can find anything I want on this site! Deb does a fantasmic job with All Ears! You can find park hours, packing lists, resort info and reviews, restaurant menus, special event info, etc. I love it! Many times I'll go to All Ears before I even look for the info on the Disney site!

3. The Mouse for Less- Another great site that is very organized! I find great things here too. My favorites are the downloads! We use the pocket guides all the time!

4. Mousesavers- If you are looking for discounts, deals and specials this is the site to visit! They list all the different ways to save money when visiting the mouse... get it, Mousesavers?!?

5. WDW Info- This site has good info on it, it's just harder for me to navigate through. I don't find it as organized as All Ears or Mouse for Less. That's probably why I don't use it as much as the others. I'm all about the organization!

There are soooooo many more great web sites out there to help plan a trip to WDW, these are just my favorites. These are the ones I've been using the longest. Maybe that's why they are my favorite! Hope this helps a bit in planning your families next visit!!

Disney World ADRs

When it rains, it pours! Today I was able to get online to make our Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) and while I was doing that, the mail came. In the mail today was my May/ June "Celebrations" magazine AND our photopass pictures from Disneyland!! I spent the afternoon reading my magazine and trying to decide where to put the new photos. Still haven't decided on the photos yet! I'll try to scan them in so I can post them.

We learned on our last trip to WDW that if you want to eat meals at a sit down restaurant, you have to have reservations. We were traveling during a slower time of the year (February), so we were able to call 24-48 hours out and still get reservations at some places. So, this time, I'm not taking any chances! I know where we want to go and I've had 180 days out marked on the calendar for almost 3 months now!

I did finally decide on ADRs and made all our reservations!! These are all places we have not eaten at before (except for Liberty Tree... I ate there years ago, but we haven't been as a family yet!).
Wednesday 8:10 breakfast reservations at Crystal Palace
Thursday 6:10 dinner at Rose and Crown
Friday 5:35 dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
Saturday 5:35 dinner at Hollywood and Vine

The other meals will be in our room or at restaurants that don't require reservations. These are the ones I want to try still!
Beaches and Cream (Beach Club)
Tomorrowland Terrace Noodles (MK)
El Pirata y el Parico (MK)
Tangierine Cafe (Epcot)
Anandapur Local Food (AK)
Starring Rolls (DHS)

I can't wait!! I wish it were tomorrow!

My Magical Disney Vacation

Several months ago I created my own "Magical Disney Vacation Video" at the Disney World Web Site. All I had to do was upload my own images of my family member's faces. Then Disney, or the web site, does the rest! It was a lot of fun to watch my creation! This is a great way for you to get your kids or your family excited about your upcoming trip! Plus it's a lot of fun to laugh at each other- depending on the clothes they have you wearing and the things they make you do in the video! :)

Enjoy our magical vacation!
