Blog Hop Character
This is my first week participating in the Disney Blog Hop hosted by Babes in Disneyland! A quick "who am I" for first time visitors can be found in my Blogorail Green Introduction from a few weeks ago.
When I first read the question to blog about, "Who is your favorite character and why?" I had so many characters swirling through my mind: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mushu, Woody, Buzz, Mad Hatter, Belle, ... I could go on. But to actually narrow it down to one favorite is hard.
I love Mickey Mouse. He's a classic. In fact, "It all started with a mouse." Who doesn't love Mickey!?! But is he really my favorite?
Donald Duck. Love his attitude! He's so fiesty and short tempered. It makes him seem a little more real than the others. Not many of the other characters have bad days like Donald, and I, do! But is he my favorite?
Mushu? I love Eddie Murphy and Mushu cracks me up when I watch Mulan. But, I don't get real excited when I see him in the parks. Maybe I really like Eddie Murphy more than Mushu?
I've always liked Toy Story. My son LOVES Toy Story. I think he would watch those 3 movies all day long if I let him. He loves to play with is Woody doll and his 2 Buzz Lightyears, "Big Buzz" and "Little Buzz." He can spot those 2 characters before I even realize they are anywhere near us! But, do I really love Woody and Buzz or do I love to see my son love them?
I'm not a fan of the movie Alice and Wonderland. I don't own this movie and probably never will. I enjoy meeting the characters from this movie at the parks, but I'll pass on spending an afternoon watching it. However, I LOVE meeting the Mad Hatter at the parks. I never know what he's going to say or do. I actually look forward to meeting him just so I can see how he'll act and how he'll turn my words around to mean something I didn't! But again, is he my favorite?!
Then we come to Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I love the movie. I loved the Broadway show. I love the story. I love Belle. She's perfect to me. She's pretty, she's educated, she's caring, she's strong. She represents what women should be like in my little mind! If I could work at a Disney Park, and if they would hire a 36 year old to be Belle, that would be my dream job!
So, I guess all that rambling leads me to one conclusion... Belle is my favorite character. You can read more about a past encounter with Belle here. I still want to meet her and get a photo with her in her yellow gown!
