Vote in my FIRST Poll!

This September, my mom, 2 1/2 year old son and I will be traveling to WDW for a long weekend while we can still enjoy the Military Discounts! We will be spending time in the parks, visiting resorts and attending the MNSSHP! We will be able to start our dining reservations this month, so I'm thinking about where to eat now.

I want to do 1 sit down meal a day and the other meals will be counter service or in our room. Since Cman will be 2 1/2, I thought we'd try a character meal or two. The choices in the poll, to the right, are all restaurants I have not tried yet. Vote for your favorite and comment below why you chose that one! It will help me make my decision! :)

Thanks!
beth

  1. I like 1900 Park Fare because there are several face characters that are fun to interact with, you are very close to MK and its easy to get too. Who doesn't want to ride the monorail?? The food was great too!

  2. Very good point Allison! I didn't even think about face characters. We did Crystal Palace b'fast in December and my boy was terrified! But it was the first day and the first characters he had ever seen! :)
    thanks

  3. We go to Cape May Cafe every trip - it is our favorite. First, it is a lot quieter than some of the other character meals, though just as fun. Also, we have had much better character interaction here too. For whatever reason we find it to be a lot less rushed and more laid back than others. For us this is a big consideration because of my son. He is easily overwhelmed when it is loud.

  4. Very good... thanks. Then we could end with dessert at beaches and cream! :)

  5. We tried Hollywood and Vine for the first time in December. It was a hit with everyone. Almost no wait once we checked in, great food, and characters Kooper knew from Playhouse Disney. We'll do that one again for sure. Tusker House has always been our favorite, but it's getting a little too popular these days. The wait has been long on our last 2 trips, even with priority seating.

  6. When we went in spring of 2009 we did not reserve all of our meals. While we were at Epcot we decided to try the rotating restaurant at the Land Pavilion. The characters were in overalls and farmer hats. It was cute. Even though we did not have reservations we did not wait more than 10 minutes. I think it's a hidden gem. Mason doesn't do spinning rides very well, and he was worried about the rotation. It didn't bother him a bit. While we were eating the characters passed twice, so there was plenty of interaction.
Love the food at Ohana Breakfast.
Love the step-sisters and step-mom at 1900 Park Fare at dinner. They are amazing!
What fun! I'm always ready to start planning my next trip!
