"Hunny Bee Cookies" for Winnie the Pooh!

Last week daddy had to work late so C-man and I had a night together alone!  We decided to make "Hunny Bee Cookies" together to celebrate the opening of the new Winnie the Pooh movie.  I found the recipe in my June/ July Family Fun magazine.

After gathering all the needed ingredients, we were off to creating!

You'll need cookies, icing tinted blue with food coloring, icing tinted yellow with food coloring, Twix mini bars and jumbo marshmallows.  You'll also need a ziplock bag, knife, scissors and spoons.  Before you start creating, spoon out part of the white icing into a separate bowl to color yellow.  Color the remaining icing in the tub blue.

We used a plastic knife to spread the blue icing on the cookies.

Cman didn't like his iced cookie, so he smashed it on top of mine to make an Oreo type cookie!

After placing the Twix cookie on the iced cookie put the yellow icing in a ziplock bag and cut the tip off to pipe the icing onto the Twix to make bee stripes!

Use a knife and cut the ends off a jumbo marshmallow for the bee wings.  These go on either side of the Twix body.

 Now you're ready to EAT!

Mom's finished Bee on the left, C-man's finished Bee (and the remains of my "example bee" on the right!

  1. What a cute idea! We might have to make these soon :)

  2. What a fun mommy/son date night ;-) and what a wonderful helper!
