Today's guest on Stars Fell on Disney Fans from Alabama is my dear friend Donna Kay from the blog "Disney Donna Kay." I started following Donna Kay back in March when I stumbled upon one of her old posts following the National Football Championship Game when Auburn beat Oregon. The post was simply titled "WAR EAGLE!" I knew I had an instant virtual friend- an Auburn fan with a Disney blog that contains the words to the Auburn University fight song! Donna Kay and I instantly connected and have been since that day in March! Donna Kay lives in Troy, Alabama with her husband and son. She also has a grown daughter, son in law and granddaughter! Welcome to my blog Donna Kay!!
First of all I would like to thank Beth for having me as a part of this wonderful series. I never knew there were so many fabulous Disney bloggers in Alabama, what a great idea!

I fell in love with Disney when I was 4 years old and I saw Sleeping Beauty. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and she's still my favorite Disney Princess today. Over the years I have seen almost every Disney movie ever made, collected hundreds of Disney Christmas ornaments, and read tons of history about Walt & Roy Disney and the Disney Company. I started blogging about Disney on November 19, 2010 and found something I truly love to do, but more importantly I found some really great people along the way. At first my posts were mainly about planning my trip to Walt Disney World this past July. It evolved into a list I called Disney A-Z which lasted quite a while, then it was on to various lists of favorites. Once I started to participate in Blog Hops and using social media my blog changed significantly.

The biggest change to
Disney Donna Kay was definitely adding Mentoring Mondays. Each Monday I feature a popular blogger, usually with a Disney connection, who gives tips and advice on blogging. Along the way I have connected with some wonderful people including our very own Beth of A Disney Mom's Thoughts, Beth of the Magical Blogorail, JL Knopp from The Disney Driven Life and Kaylene Jablecki from the Mom's Panel just to name a few. If you blog, whether or not it's Disney related, there is a lot of valuable information in the
Mentoring Mondays archives.
I still participate in a couple of great Blog Hops each week - Wordless Wednesdays and the Disney Blog Hop, and the posts there continue to inspire me. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community of people. Please look for me on
Twitter and Facebook as DisneyDonnaKay, I always love meeting new Disney fans. Thanks again Beth for having me today, but thanks mostly for being such a wonderful friend!
Thanks for introducing us to all of the fabulous Bama Disney Bloggers Beth! I am truly honored to be a part of it!!
