Tuesday's Tip: Touring in the Rain

Summer in Disney World means one thing: rain. Throughout June, July, August and much of September, mid-day summer showers are the norm. But they needn’t ruin your Disney vacation! In fact, afternoon showers tend to empty out the Parks, which means shorter lines for you and your family if you can figure out how to beat the wet conditions.

Today’s tip will help you do just that: buy a Disney poncho. I know, I know … at upwards of $8 for an adult size, the ponchos aren’t exactly budget friendly, and you could buy a $3 poncho at Walmart before your trip. But will Walmart replace your poncho if it tears? Disney will!

If your poncho rips at any time, just bring it to any store where they’re sold, and Disney will replace it totally free of charge, no questions asked. Disney backs their rip-and-relplace-it policy with incredibly durable quality: my husband and I have been using the same pair since 2008 with no rips or tears. We just toss them in his backpack if it looks like rain in the morning. Well worth the money!
