"This is Halloween..."

We have a new found love at our house... Halloween.  My son, C-man (3 1/2) has decided Halloween is the greatest ever.  He asks everyday if it's Halloween yet.  He's convinced his Mimi to give us as many decorations, pumpkins, haunted houses, etc as possible.  We've even been listening to the Halloween station on Pandora.  It's crazy, really!
While we were listening to our Halloween music the other night, we heard "Grim Grinning Ghosts" from the album "Mickey's Monster Bash."  He loved it!  Then I told him that song was from the Haunted Mansion at WDW.  He was shocked to find out there was a "haunted house" at Disney and he hadn't seen it!  (Yes, I kept it from him because I thought he'd be scared!)  So, the next day, we got on youtube and watched videos of the Haunted Mansion in WDW and Disneyland.  He was IN LOVE and wanted to leave right then to head to Disney!

While we were watching the Disneyland version of the ride, there was a link to the Halloween version of the attraction.  Which, sparked a new interest... Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas!  We then searched for youtube videos of the movie and found the song, "This is Halloween."

Then he made a discovery- This is the same song we dance to on "Just Dance 3" or as he calls, the Booty Dance Game!

So, we've come full circle!
Grim Grinning Ghosts on Pandora -> Haunted Mansion at WDW -> Haunted Mansion at Halloween at DL -> Nightmare Before Christmas movie -> "This is Halloween" song -> Just Dance 3... Booty dance!

I have one happy boy AND Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas will air on ABC Family on Sunday, October 21 at 7:00am and 5:26pm!  Set your DVRs!

That's great! I took my daughter on Disneyland's Haunted Mansion when she was 16 months old and she totally loved it! At that time it had the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the mansion and she became obsessed with Jack SKellington. What we did was act excited about seeing them and the ghosts and told her it was "cool" and she really caught on. Now our house is full of Jack stuff and she loves Halloween because it reminds her of the Haunted Mansion. Glad to see your son is excited to see the Haunted Mansion at WDW!!
