Magical Blogorail Green: Favorite WDW Ride Vehicle

Welcome to those of you joining me from Disney Living and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

When I heard the topic for this month's blogorail loop my mind started racing!  I was running through all 4 parks in my mind thinking of all the ride vehicles.  So many wonderful vehicles came to mind: Jungle Cruise, Tower of Terror, Dinosaur, Spaceship Earth and more.  I had such a hard time narrowing it down to ONE favorite!  Really, just one?  It couldn't be done.  So I'm happy to present several of my favorite Walt Disney World Ride Vehicles.

The best ride vehicle to get wet: Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom.  Our family is usually the type that skips the wet rides.  The boys have to really beg to get us on a water ride!  We don't like walking around in wet, squishy shoes and we don't like having to lug around dry clothes to change in to.  But, we love Splash Mountain and the entertainment it provides.  So, we will ride Splash Mountain and cross our fingers that we don't get soaked!  Usually we get wet, but not soaked, so it's OK!

The best ride vehicle to take a nap:  Ellen's Energy Adventure at Epcot.  This 45 minute ride/ show is a decent attraction that can teach you quite a bit about energy... if you can stay awake!  It's best to ride it first thing in the morning before you become so exhausted from walking around World Showcase.  While it's not the most comfortable bench seat, it does provide a long nap time and if it's not too crowded, you can actually stretch out on the benches if you'd like!

The best ride vehicle for the entire family: Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom.  I like all the vehicles that allow a larger family or group to ride in the same car, but this one is extra special!  We can usually all fit on one row or at least on the same truck and each trip is so different based on the animals activity.

The best ride vehicle for thrills: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Hollywood Studios.  I love the stretch limos on this attraction!  The look is great, but the comfort factor is good too.  This is the one roller coaster at WDW where I don't get tossed and bumped around.  Plus it's my favorite roller coaster on property!

The best ride vehicle to get from here to there: Monorail.  While I do love all of the modes of transportation at Walt Disney World, the monorail is my favorite!  I love the views from the monorail, the convenience (especially if you're staying at a Monorail Resort) and the speed.  Plus I get to hear "Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas!"

The best ride vehicle overall: Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom.  This is my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World.  All of our family can fit in the same vehicle.  You can see all of Tomorrowland and the little kids can get a glimpse of some attractions they are too small to ride.  You can prop up your feet and rest if you'd like.  It's fun, yet relaxing.  And it's one of Walt's original ideas going back to the '64 World's Fair!  What's not to love about the TTA PeopleMover!?

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Walt Disney World: Not Just For Kids.

I have to agree on TTA as best overall. So simple, so classic. I couldn't imagine a trip without riding it once, or twice, or...well, you get the point!

  4. A nice air conditioned mid-afternoon nap on Ellen's Energy Adventure is the highlight of any trip to Epcot!

  5. I love the peoplemover. Always relaxing! Great list of ride vehicles!

  6. thanks! peoplemover= all time fav! :)

  7. agree- we ride it at least 2 times each MK visit!

  8. I just wish we could still ride up front!

  9. I have never done Ellen's! I'll have to remember that next time I'm hot and tired.
