Saving for Disney: Disney Gift Cards

In my hometown it seems like every store that sells gift cards has the Disney Gift Cards!  I have found these at Walgreens, Target, Kroger, Publix, and Lowes.  I'm sure there are other places, I just can't think of them now!

One way we save for Disney vacations is to ask for Disney Gift Card as gifts.  Both sets of grandparents give these cards for Christmas and birthdays.  At the end of the month, if I have extra cash, I'll buy a gift card so I won't spend that money on something else.  If I earn extra money somehow, I turn right around and buy a gift card.

We also buy the boys gift cards for Easter baskets, stockings and Valentine's day.  I try to buy different cards for each boy so we can tell them apart.  Then when we get to the parks, they know how much money they have to spend on souvenirs.  There are several different styles to choose from for girls and boys.

Does your family use Disney Gift Cards at the parks?
