Walt Disney World Friday Freebies- Animal Kingdom Lodge

Taking the family to Walt Disney World can be very expensive.  But, did you know there are lots of fun, creative, FREE things you can do there too??  Each Friday, I'll share one (or more) Freebies to do at Walt Disney World!

This week, I'm encouraging you to take some time to head to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  While this is a deluxe resort and very pricy, it isn't closed to those who aren't staying there.  Visit this resort, take in the African decor and spend some time wandering the Savannas   You and your family will see lots of authentic plants and animals on the grounds.  There are "Safari Guides" outside in the viewing areas.  Guests staying at the resort will get an animal guide in their room, but you can also request one from the front desk.  Don't forget your camera!

  1. We did dinner at Boma last year and toured the resort afterwards. I literally think I could spend a whole Disney vacation just going to the different resorts! Each one is like a theme park in itself:)

  2. Terrific tip! We did some wandering while waiting for our Jiko reservation last spring, and ended up becoming so wrapped up in all that the Safari Guide was telling Guests that we almost missed dinner!

  3. The guides from Africa are wonderful. They are always smiling and are happy to talk about their home and the animals with everyone. But especially the children.

  4. I love spending time at that resort! Between the restaurants and the animals (and viewing the animals from the restaurant) it's one of my favorite places to spend time!

  5. I have got to take the time to explore this resort! We say every trip we are going to, but then just haven't. The photos I have seen of it are just beautiful, but I can only assume they do not do it justice! Thanks for the great freebie tip!

  6. I love speaking with the guides about the animals. This is our favorite resort so we always try to visit, even if we aren't staying there.
