Disney's All Star Movies Review

I have only stayed at Disney's All Star Movies Resort once.  That was way back in 1999, in a former life, when the resort was brand new!  We stayed for 10 days and had a blast.  I honestly don't remember much about the resort.  I do know we only had 2 people in the room and we had plenty of space for our 10 day vacation.  I also remember I loved the theming of the buildings.

This resort was built in 1999.  Reservations could be made as early as January of 1998 and the first rooms were ready in January 1999.  This was the third and final hotel in the All Star Resort Complex.  The entire resort is inspired by Disney's movies.  There are 1,920-rooms  with the following themed buildings: “101 Dalmatians,” “Toy Story,” “Fantasia,” “The Mighty Ducks” and “The Love Bug." There are two pools.  One is a hockey rink-themed pool in the Mighty Ducks section and the other is Sorcerer Mickey as he directs a liquid symphony at the Fantasia pool.  There is also a kiddie area here.

The rooms at the All Star Movies resort are very similar to the All Star Sports and All Star Music rooms.  These are some of the smallest and cheapest rooms on property at 260 square feet.  You will find 2 double beds, a dresser with a TV and mini fridge, a small table with 2 chairs and a bedside table.  There is also a small safe in the vanity area, a phone and clock radio in each room.  Hair dyers, irons, ironing boards, bed rails and portable cribs can be requested from housekeeping.  Wi-Fi is now available to all guests staying at All Star Music.  The restrooms in each room have a tub/shower and a toilet.  There is a separate vanity area outside the bathroom with a single sink, counter space, full length mirror and hanging area for clothes.  The wheelchair accessible rooms have a king size bed and a shower instead of a tub.  

The resort center at All Star Movies is Cinema Hall.   Here you will find check-in, a movie/ film inspired food court, a gift shop, arcade and a playground.  A limited room service pizza delivery and laundry facilities are also located here.   

If you have young children who are movie fans (especially Toy Story) this resort will be a hit!  The oversized Buzz and Woody are fantastic.  As with all the value resorts, these resorts tend to be louder than others.  Since these are value resorts, large groups of students tend to book rooms here for competitions and travel.  Those teens can get quite loud at times! ;)
