#DisneySide @Home Celebration PARTY!

It's over.  And actually, I'm pretty sad!  This #DisneySide @Home Celebration has been in my mind for the past several months. I've pinned ideas, checked out Spoonful.com, shared ideas in FaceBook groups, emailed back and forth with my mom, cooked, created and planned.  Now it's behind me.  All I have left is to share it with all of you! :)

Last December, I applied to be a host for a #DisneySide @Home Celebration party.  I was applying to have a party with my friends to share my love of Disney!  WOW! This was perfect!

In January, I found out I was accepted to host a party!!  At the end of January, my package was delivered.  Included were all the supplies I may need along with ideas, recipes and it was neatly packaged inside an American Tourister bag!  I immediately started thinking of the theme I wanted to use.  I finally decided on "Magic Kingdom."  This is my favorite park, my boys love it, and I wanted to share this love with my friends.   We sent out invitations in early February!

On March 2, we were ready to have our party!  About 95% of the food was ready, the games were ready, and the decorations were ready, but apparently the guests weren't!  My husband came down with the tummy bug as did several of our guests.  We decided to postpone the party and have it on March 8.  But, since we had most of the food, decorations and activities ready on March 2, the grandparents came over and we had a practice run or a "soft opening" #DisneySide party!

On March 8, we were ready to go!  We had made a few changes and additions to our party since we had the "soft opening" the week before.  At 3:00 the grandparents and several of our friends and their kids made it to the house.  We had Disney music playing and the Disney planning DVD showing.  All of the kids came wearing a Disney costume or t-shirt, which made for fun pictures!  We had a photo booth, did a pull string pinata, played Disney Bingo, Disney Pictionary, pin the tail on tic toc crock, and had a "Hidden Mickey" hunt.  Oh yeah, we ate.  A lot.

Keep checking back because all week I'll be sharing all the details of our decorating, food, and activities with you!

Thanks to Disney, American Tourister, HP, Ocean Spray and BSM Media for providing the products and supplies for our #DisneySide party!

  2. Looks like you took a bad situation and turned it right around. You can never plan for those stomach bugs, but looks like in the end the party turned out great! Love all the food, but the popcorn machine is awesome! Thanks for sharing your #DisneySide Celebration with us.
