Favorite Walt Disney World Frozen Drinks with Magical Blogorail Green

Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Green. Enjoy the ride as we share some of our favorite spirits (and non-alcoholic drinks) at Walt Disney World.

My first thought regarding favorite spirits was that I've only had light beer and a sip of my husbands Grand Marnier Slushy, so I can't really cover spirits... I'll cover the non alcoholic fun!  Then I started thinking again and my non alcoholic fun usually consists of, "I'll have a diet coke, please."  Not too fun!

The
more I thought, I realized I have had more than just diet coke!  I've had several of the frozen/ slushy type "drinks", even though I usually consider these snacks! :)  So here are my top five frozenish drinks (in no particular order) from Around the World!

1. Kaki Gori. This fruity treat can be found in the Japan pavilion at Epcot.  I would describe this as more like shaved ice rather than a drink... but it is frozen!  Look for this refreshing, non-alcoholic goody served from a cart on a hot day in Epcot.

2. Milkshakes.  There are milkshakes at various restaurants throughout Walt Disney World- 50's Prime Time Cafe, Whispering Canyon, or Beaches and Cream, to name a few.  You can also find them tucked around the parks too (Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom, or Mrs. Potts in Magic Kingdom), so keep your eyes opened if you are a milkshake lover!

3. Fruit Slushes.  In the France Pavilion in Epcot, across from Chefs de France, you will find a beverage cart that sells wine, along with Grey Goose or Grand Marnier slushes.  These (very) alcoholic drinks served in a martini glass are icy, fruity, and refreshing on a hot day.  There is not a non-alcoholic version and I suggest you take your time drinking this!

4. Frozen Coke.  This drink takes me back to my childhood!  Each time I have one of these at Walt Disney World, I'm reminded of riding my bike to the corner gas station for a frozen coke!  You can find these drinks, along with other flavors, at various locations... my favorite is at Hey Howdy Hey Takeaway at Hollywood Studios.

5. Goofy's Glaciers.  These wonderful fruit slushes can be found at Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney.  I've recently learned that they can also be purchased at Big Top Treats in Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland.  These slushes are perfect to me.  They aren't watered down, the icee part isn't too chunky and it's not too syrupy.  The fun flavors are Gawrshly Berry Blue, Goofy's Glacier Apple, Rootin' Tootin' Red, Pucker Purple, Orange You Happy Orange, Brrr-Banana, and Razzle Dazzle Pink or you can mix them for a suicide!

The one frozen drink I'm most looking forward to trying on our next trip is LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern at Magic Kingdom.  This drink is made from no-sugar-added frozen apple juice with a hint of marshmallow syrup and topped with a mango-passionfruit foam.  Some guests have compared this drink to a liquid version of a caramel apple!  YUMMMY!

What is your favorite frozen drink at Walt Disney World?

  1. What a great list you have come up with here, Beth! I ended my post by saying that we want to try LeFou's Brew on our next trip too (well, Ashley does - I'm not 100% convinced!) What is your favorite Goofy's Glacier Flavor?

    1. Thanks Heidi! It was a fun list to make! My favorite Goofy Glacier flavor is always anything blue... but then it turns my mouth blue and makes me look like I've kissed a smurf. so I usually get banana! :)

    2. LOL! Too funny! Gracie always goes for the blue stuff too, but it dies not only her mouth but her lips and teeth too. It's quite hilarious!

  2. Awesome list. Goofy's Glaciers are a new favorite of mine. We love getting one at Big Top Treats and then heading to the seating area outside. I've never tried the Kaki Gori though. Should I give it a try?

    1. The Kaki Gori is just shaved ice with sweet fruit juice on it. It is tasty, but take into consideration when I had it I was 32 weeks pregnant in july... anything cold and sweet tasted good at that point! :)

  3. So many things I haven't tried at WDW!! The LeFou's Brew sounds interesting - I love caramel apples.

    1. I do too Donna Kay... especially if those apples are shaped like Mickey! I wonder if I'll even like the "brew?"

    1. I love sitting in the shade and people watching at Disney! I love seeing the people interacting with each other, taking in the sights and especially the wonder in the kids eyes!

  5. Well, I'll have to say that I've not had any of these -- I'm most definitely in the minority here, but like you, I love Diet Coke (especially with fresh hot popcorn before a parade!) -- although, I have been known to get the beer flight at Biergarten during dinner.

  8. Yes, I'm positive that I must be an alcoholic. I haven't tried any of these either! Well, I have visited the kiosk in France for a Kir Royale; does that count??!

  9. Great list! I really liked my first Grand Marnier Slush, but I did drink it too fast, so I wish I had your tip. What does the Kaki Gori taste like? Is it really sweet?

    1. Like I told Melissa in her comment above, I was 32 weeks pregnant in July when I had Kaki Gori... anything cold, sweet and fruity was good at that point! :) It was good, but your typical shaved ice concoction. Not something on my "must have every trip" list.

  10. My sister and I were just talking about Kaki Gori today! It truly is the best snow cone I have ever had, but then again it might be because of the heat! I am partial to the strawberry, but my wife really enjoys the rainbow of all three flavors. Any favorite?
