#DestinationSummer WDW Magic Kingdom {Sponsored}

Welcome to the next stop on Kohl's #DestinationSummer Road Trip~ Walt Disney World located in Orlando, Florida.  I am so excited to be a part of this journey.  While I live in Alabama, Walt Disney World is my favorite travel destination.  Over the years, I have visited 19 times and I'm currently planning my 20th trip for this fall!

The Magic Kingdom was the first park in Walt Disney World built in 1971.  It has many of the traditional or classic attractions that Walt himself had a hand in creating: Mad Tea Party, it's a small world, Walt Disney Railroad, Hall of Presidents and Tropical Serenade (which is now the Enchanted Tiki Room).  This is the park that children will probably enjoy the most.  It's full of fantasy, adventure, fun, imagination and memories!

Here is my summer "must do" list for Magic Kingdom Park.

  • Spend time walking down Main Street USA taking in the sights, sounds, smells and tastes!
  • Ride all the mountains- Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain.
  • Defeat Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
  • Prop up your feet and glide through Tomorrowland on the Peoplemover.
  • Stroll through New Fantasyland taking lots of pictures and experience the new attractions: Dumbo (it's not new but the queue is), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid and Enchanted Tales with Belle.

  • Pick up a hitchhiking ghost in the Haunted Mansion.
  • Find Jack Sparrow on Pirates of the Caribbean.
  • Experience four different rivers on The Jungle Cruise.
When planning a trip to Walt Disney World, there are so many things you'll need to get!  In addition to some really cute Disney themed clothing, like my boys are wearing in the top photo, you'll need key things to entertain the kids while you are traveling.  It doesn't matter if you fly, drive or take a bus, your kids will need distractions!
We were able to find Mickey Mouse Clubhouse sippy cups, a plush Mickey, snack containers, Disney books, and Star Wars characters for my older son.  All of these items are perfect for a trip in the car or a plane.  Don't forget, once you arrive at Walt Disney World, you may want to carry most of these things into the parks with you to continue to keep the kids entertained while waiting on rides, shows and parades!

Come back tomorrow as we see what Epcot has in store!
