I received free products in order to host a Disney Side @ Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.
One of my favorite parts of the party kit was the Duff Tie-Dye cake mix. At first, I was completely intimidated by this product! The box looked so beautiful and the instructions seemed too difficult for me, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Below is the documentation that I really did do it! :)
2) Tint with the dye.
3) Spoon the different colors into the cupcake liners without mixing the colors. Just let them "land" on top of each other!4) Bake according to the package.
5) VOILA! If I can do it, you can do it! They looked and tasted amazing. We definitely plan to make more of these one day... and if I'm feeling VERY adventurous, we'll use our Mickey Mouse cake pan to make a tie-dye cake too!
6) Ice these bad boys and enjoy! My 6 year old son iced his first cupcake and included a hidden Mickey with black icing! :) (Proud mom moment!)
We also made Mickey rice krispy treats. We prefer coco krispies in our treats with lots of marshmallows! In last year's party kit, we received Mickey Mouse cookie cutters. These were perfect for cutting rice krispy treats as well!
One thing my boys love is Chex mix, but with just the Chex. We make this a lot as well. I follow the instructions on the box, but typically use only Chex cereals. This Valentine's season, we found Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel snacks by Utz. We included pretzels in our Chex mix for our party! You can see the left over bags on the table behind the juice!
I think the reason this party was so fun was definitely because of the desserts! The Mickey Mouse cake, made by my wonderful mom, and the tie-dye cupcakes were the hit!
Thanks to Mom Select, Disney Parks, Duff Goldman and Wilton for the items to help us show our #DisneySide through our food!
