Big Block Singsong {Review} | A Disney Mom's Thoughts

I was sent complimentary samples of these products to review for my blog.
No further compensation was received and all opinions expressed are my own.

Recently I shared the news about the Big Block Singsong Season 2 Album and Video release.  We were so excited to receive the volume 1 DVD, the screening DVD of volume 2, and the digital download of the Big Block Singsong Greatest Hits.  My boys and I couldn't wait to start watching and listening!

We immediately downloaded the songs sent to us from Razor and Tie and started listening on my iPhone.  We had several favorites such as Monkey, Big Foot, Princess, and Beats.  Beats was my favorite!  The "beat" was catchy and fun.  I doubt you can listen to this song without bobbing your head or at least tapping your toe!

We enjoyed the volume 2 DVD so much, we decided to download the digital version through iTunes.  This way my youngest can watch it on the iPad.  It's been quite a hit in our house and in the car!  My favorite is still "Beats" with "Princess" being a close second.  My 2 year old enjoys "Counting", "Slug", and "Dog."  Maybe because he LOVES to count and he's fascinated by "snails without shells" as well as doggies!  Now, my 6 year old claims to not like any of them, but he secretly likes it too!  He claims he's too old for it, however, every time he hears the songs, he comes running into the room to see which "Big Block" it is!

As for the volume 1 DVD, which you can see in the picture above, "Monkey" is still my 2 year old's favorite!  He LOVES the monkey character and song. If I could just have this one episode on repeat, I think he'd stay in that position all day long!

Both Volume 1 and Volume 2 episodes are excellent for my 2 year old.  He loves the colors, the shapes and the simplicity of the episodes.  While my 6 year old does still "secretly" enjoy it, I'm sure in a few months to a year, he will be "too old" for it and he won't come running into the room to see which "big block" it is.  That makes me sad, but it's all part of growing up, I guess.

Thank you for this opportunity to review such great products for my boys and family. The songs are fun to sing along to in the car and the movies are excellent when I'm trying to clean house or cook dinner! :)

You too can get your own copies of the Big Block Singsong episodes here
