#WeLoveDisney Album {Review} #O2O | A Disney Mom's Thoughts

I participated in the We Love Disney album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.

I am so excited about the October 30th release of this album! "We Love Disney" is a compilation album from Walt Disney Records and Verve Records where 12 different pop, rock, R&B, and country artists sing popular Disney songs. These are the songs on the album:

  • NE-YO “Friend Like Me” (Aladdin)
  • Jessie J “Part of Your World “(The Little Mermaid)
  • Jason Derulo “Can You Feel the Love Tonight / Nants’ Ingonyama” (The Lion King)
  • Gwen Stefani “The Rainbow Connection” (The Muppet Movie)
  • Ariana Grande “Zero To Hero” (Hercules)
  • Jhen√© Aiko “In a World of My Own/Very Good Advice” (Alice in Wonderland)
  • Fall Out Boy “I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)” (The Jungle Book)
  • Tori Kelly “Colors of the Wind” (Pocahontas)
  • Kacey Musgraves “A Spoonful of Sugar” (Mary Poppins)
  • Charles Perry “Ev’rybody Wants To Be a Cat” (The Aristocats)
  • Jessie Ware “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” (Cinderella)
  • Lucy Hale & Rascal Flatts “Let It Go” (Frozen)
  • Various Artists “It’s a Small World”
Bonus tracks on Deluxe CD, Vinyl, and Picture Disc:
  • Brenna Whitaker “It’s Not Easy Being Green” (The Muppet Show)
  • Yuna “A Whole New World” (Aladdin)
ALL of these songs were amazing. Each artist made the song their own in their own style, but still stayed true to the Disney version. That's what I love. The vocals are amazing and the music is spot on. As I listened to this album, I found myself singing along to almost all of the songs, even the songs that aren't necessarily my favorite or from a favorite movie. They are catchy, fresh and entertaining. I know this will be one CD my family will be listening to on repeat for a while!
My favorite songs were "The Rainbow Connection" by Gwen Stefani and "I Wan'na Be Like You" by Fall Out Boy. I think it's because of the style of music these artists do on their own. I loved the style and sound these artists took when recording. But, my absolute favorite on the album was "It's a Small World." There's just something about this song! Hearing all the voices singing together and the connection to Walt Disney and The Sherman Brothers. It's a classic. It is Disney!
