This attraction closed on February 7, 2016 for refurbishments. According to WDW News Today, this show will actually not reopen on April 3 and a new film will take its place. This news has not been confirmed by Disney.
The Circle of Life attraction is an indoor movie inside The Land Pavilion in Future World of Epcot. This attraction opened in January of 1995. This is a 20 minute movie featuring Pumba, Timon, and Simba from The Lion King. The movie focuses on the environment and how we are connected to the land. Pumba and Timon want to build "Hakuna Matata Resort" and have to cut down trees and dam up rivers to make it happen. Simba reminds them of their environmental responsibilities and cutting trees and damming rivers will upset the environment. This show combines both live footage and animation and has footage from over 30 countries. This is an attraction that can be enjoyed by all age groups.
- If you sit near the back it's easier to see the whole screen without looking from side to side. The back also exits before those sitting closer to the screen.
- This is a great place to go if you need to get out of the sun for a while and get some rest.
- I have never seen this 428 seat theatre full, so if you have to wait, it's only waiting for the current movie to end so you can enter.
- This attraction is wheelchair accessible. Guests needing assistive listening devices can visit guest services for information. Reflective captioning is also available.
