#JazzLovesDisney {Review} | A Disney Mom's Thoughts

This is a sponsored post from Disney Music and One2One Network. All opinions are my own.

I love a great Disney album. In fact that's about all we listen to in our car these days. Everyone in the family loves the music, knows the words, and the songs bring back such wonderful memories from past trips to Disney parks or movies we've seen. The album Jazz Loves Disney is no exception. From the moment I listened, I was in love. The songs are beautifully done and have an authentic jazzy feel to them.

Listening to Disney music goes back to my childhood. I remember watching Disney movies and singing along with my brothers as a child. I also remember watching The Wonderful World of Disney with my grandparents and parents and how excited I became when a familiar song was played. Hearing these Disney songs on Jazz Loves Disney brings back memories of my childhood, but in a more "adult" way!

My youngest boys, ages 4 and 7, liked hearing the familiar songs from Jazz Loves Disney, but didn't appreciate these as much because "they weren't right!" They like the original songs sung by the characters in the movies. I have a hard time getting them to truly enjoy anything that is different from the norm. But, they didn't ask me to change it either!

My favorite songs on the album were definitely Everybody Wants to be a Cat from The Aristocats and He's a Tramp from Lady and the Tramp. I thought these sounded most like the original but with a great jazz sound. While I appreciated all the tracks, these stood out as my favorite. All the songs found on the album are:

1. Jamie Cullum – "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" – from The Aristocats
2. Melody Gardot – "He’s A Tramp" – from Lady And The Tramp
3. Stacey Kent – "Bibbidi Bobbodo Boo" (French version) – from Cinderella
4. Gregory Porter – "When You Wish Upon A Star" – from Pinocchio
5. China Moses – "Why Don’t You Do Right" – from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
6. Raphaël Gualazzi – "I Wanna Be Like You" – from The Jungle Book
7. The Rob Mounsey Orchestra – "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" – from Cinderella
8. Hugh Coltman – "You’ve Got A Friend In Me" – from Toy Story
9. Anne Sila – "Let It Go" – from Frozen
10. Melody Gardot & Raphaël Gualazzi – "The Bare Necessities" – from The Jungle Book
11. Laika – "Once Upon A Dream" – from Sleeping Beauty
12. Nikki Yanofsky -"Someday My Prince Will Come" – from Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs
13. The Hot Sardines – I Wanna Be Like You (French & English version) – from The Jungle Book (US release only)

If you love Jazz and Disney Music, this is a MUST buy album! You can find it on iTunes or Amazon starting November 18, 2016.
